For Buyers
How to post a requirement that gets useful quotesSellers quote faster and more accurately when they know exactly what you need.
- Name the product precisely: material, size, grade, model or standard (for example "MS round bar, 12 mm, IS 2062").
- Give a realistic quantity and unit, and say whether this is a one-time or repeat order.
- Add the delivery city and PIN code — freight can change the price a lot.
- Mention your target price or budget if you have one, and any certificates or tests you need.
- Post it for free on the RFQ page; quotations appear in your buyer dashboard.
Checking a supplier before you place an orderEvery seller here has a GSTIN and PAN on record, but you should still do your own checks.
- Look up the seller's GSTIN on the official GST portal (services.gst.gov.in → Search Taxpayer) and match the legal name and address.
- Read their reviews on the supplier page — only buyers who dealt with them can leave one.
- Ask for a proforma invoice with full company details, and samples for first orders.
- For large orders, visit the factory or ask for a video call of the production line.
- Agree payment terms in writing. Avoid paying the full amount in advance to a new supplier.
Comparing quotations fairlyThe lowest number is not always the cheapest deal.
- Check whether each price includes GST, packing and freight to your location.
- Compare the minimum order quantity, delivery time and payment terms side by side.
- Confirm the exact specification quoted matches what you asked for.
- Ask each seller the same follow-up questions so the answers are comparable.
For Sellers
Writing product listings buyers respond toBuyers search by what the product is, so describe it plainly and completely.
- Use a clear title: product name, key specification and material (for example "Stainless Steel 304 Ball Valve, 1 inch").
- In the description, list sizes, grades, finishes, packing and the standards you meet.
- Always fill in price, unit and minimum order quantity — listings with a price get more enquiries.
- Open the Search engine (SEO) section when editing a product to set how it appears on Google.
Product photos that help you sellA good photo answers questions before the buyer has to ask.
- Use a plain, light background and natural light; avoid heavy filters.
- Show the actual product you supply, not a catalogue image of a different brand.
- Add close-ups of labels, markings and finish, and one photo showing size or packing.
- Upload photos straight from your phone — the site resizes them automatically.
Replying to enquiries and RFQsFast, complete replies win more orders.
- Reply the same day if you can, even if only to say when a full quote will follow.
- Quote the exact specification asked for, and say clearly what the price includes.
- State delivery time, payment terms and how long the price is valid.
- Keep your company profile complete — buyers check it before replying. See plans for more listings and visibility.
